Juneteenth is a celebration in the African American community to recognize the day the United States freed the slaves. It was started and recognized first in Texas and seems to in 2020 have gained national recognition outside the African American community. We celebrate this holiday by supporting businesses and nonprofits in our communities.
Our Pledge as a social capital brokerage is to continue to engage and help with the growth and development of our community. Any time a client purchases a service, we will donate $25 to a nonprofit or community based organization of your choice. We started our pledge during Covid19 and just wanted to update it to reflect the holiday leading to the Blackout2020 movement in response to the many protest sparked by the murder of #georgefloyd.
